Donna Carrico NP at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak Michigan has developed two CDs specifically for women with pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis or vulvodynia. Ms Carrico runs the Women’s Initiative for pelvic pain, and Sexual Health program (WISH) which provides intensive treatment for women with pelvic pain. The CDs are extremely well done and provide four different opportunities (2 on each CD). Images of healing light, restful meadow, soothing shoreline, and breathing exercises are used to encourage relaxation. Ms Carrico’s voice is very soothing and the choice of words is positive and supportive.
